About Biocare Beverages
Why is supplementing my protein intake important while taking a weight loss medication?
Many individuals taking weight loss medications experience an overall decreased appetite. This can lead to skipped meals, less than adequate protein, and/or reduced micronutrient intake. While an overall decrease in calories is helpful for weight loss, a decrease in protein intake is not. If you are not able to consume enough protein through meals and snacks, including two (2) servings of the Biocare beverage will help increase your protein intake to help preserve lean body mass. The Biocare beverages are fortified with many vitamins and minerals to help bridge the gap if you are lacking any micronutrients, have added fiber, and are a source of essential fatty acids.
Will consuming Biocare beverages help me lose weight faster?
Consuming protein does not help you lose weight faster; however, including the Biocare beverage will help you consume protein throughout the day and meet other nutrient requirements. By better meeting your protein requirements — plus satisfying 100 percent of essential nutrient needs every day — you will be supporting lean muscle mass as you lose body fat. During your weight loss journey, this means you will better able to maintain a higher resting energy expenditure, potentially avoiding weight loss stalls/plateaus and help maintain the healthier weight you achieve.
How many Biocare beverages are safe for me to drink per day?
Recommended protein intake varies from person to person. Most individuals benefit from taking two (2) Biocare beverages daily. Taking more than two may be advised for certain individuals, but it is recommended to consult a registered dietitian for a personalized meal plan. Consult a medical provider if you have specific questions about the amount of protein supplements to include in your regular diet.
I only want to drink one Biocare beverage per day instead of two, is that okay?
Each serving of Biocare provides 20 grams of protein, which is the same amount of protein in a three ounce chicken breast. Drinking just one Biocare beverage per day would be okay; however, it is important to make sure the rest of your protein intake is adequate to meet your daily protein needs. Consult with a medical professional and registered dietitian to ensure you are meeting your protein needs.
Are there certain times of day when it is recommended to consume a Biocare beverage?
There is not a one-size-fits-all all model when it comes to the timing of your Biocare beverage. It will vary based on your own schedule, comfort and hunger needs. When thinking about how the beverage would work best for you, ask yourself, “Is there a meal I often skip?” or “Is there a period of time I go longer between eating because I’m not hungry?” If you can identify a meal you often skip — or a longer stretches of time between eating — these are perfect opportunities to include a serving of Biocare to keep your body fueled with protein and essential nutrients.
Can/should I eat solid foods with the Biocare beverage or is it best to consume them alone?
How and when you drink your beverage is based on your preferences and food tolerance. Some people may find that consuming a six (6) ounce serving of Biocare is the perfect amount to be comfortable. Others may want to consume it with some solid food so they don’t feel too full too quickly. It is best to experiment with what feels best for you. If you feel uncomfortably full, plan to take the beverage during times when you have not consumed any protein for more than two-to-three hours.
I am nauseous in the morning since starting my weight loss medication; will Biocare beverages help to settle my stomach?
Experimenting with your diet, timing of meals and portion sizes can typically help alleviate nausea associated with GLP-1 medication use. Biocare includes ingredients that can help alleviate the nausea associated with taking this type of medication.* Work with a registered dietitian to find a routine that works best for you.
Do Biocare beverages contain fiber? How will it affect my bowel habits?
Each serving of Biocare includes six (6) grams of fiber from soluble prebiotic fiber and are complemented by a digestively stable probiotic. These are included to promote digestive and gut health, and help to reduce gastrointestinal side effects that are commonly associated with GLP-1 medication use. Soluble prebiotic fiber is able to lower the occurrence of diarrhea and reduce constipation. The digestively stable probiotics can also help reduce bloating and gastric discomfort associated with GLP-1 medications. Together, pre and probiotics can enhance nutrient absorption and help balance the gut microbiome to improve digestive health and well-being. The blend of fiber and probiotic may create a more regular bowel pattern and reduce the gastrointestinal side effects of GLP-1 medication use.
What nutrients are added to Biocare beverages to help with the side effects of my weight loss medication?
Biocare beverages include a specialized blend of digestive enzyme, licorice root extract and a unique form of zinc — along with prebiotic fibers and a probiotic to help alleviate gastrointestinal side effects (such as nausea and constipation) that are associated with taking weight loss medications.*
I want to add more variety to the currently available Biocare beverages. Is there something I can add?
Sometimes adding frozen elements such as ice cubes or a small portion (¼ cup) frozen fruit can change the texture and the flavor. Keep in mind that adding fruit will add to the calorie and carbohydrate content of the beverage. Flavor extracts, like orange or almond, are another option — just check that they don’t add sugar or calories. Work with a registered dietitian for ways to incorporate “add-ins” that will fit easily into your overall meal plan.
I have diabetes. How will the Biocare beverage affect my blood sugar?
One Biocare beverages contains 11-13 grams of total carbohydrates (depending on flavor), including six (6) grams of dietary fiber. Each serving also includes healthy fat and protein. This macronutrient combination will prevent blood glucose highs and lows. This supplement is a good addition to a diabetic diet. Please consult with an endocrinologist or medical professional for specific questions.
What is the protein source in the Biocare beverage?
The proteins in Biocare are a specially balanced blend of whey protein concentrate and whey protein isolate. Whey proteins are quickly and easily digested and absorbed compared to other protein sources. The efficient absorption of whey protein ensures the delivery of amino acids needed to protect lean muscle mass. Because GLP-1 medications slow the rate of digestion, whey protein is a great option for improving protein absorption. Leucine — an essential amino acid needed to initiate protein production and aids in muscle preservation — is also added to help maintain muscle integrity during sustained weight reduction.
I am a vegetarian. Can I drink Biocare beverages?
Biocare is a whey-based protein supplement. Whey is a milk derived protein, so it would be suitable for lacto-vegetarians and individuals who consume dairy products.
I am lactose intolerant. Can I drink Biocare beverages?
Although dairy products and dairy isolates are included in Biocare, these drinks contain very little lactose and are generally tolerated well by those who are lactose intolerant. If you are lactose intolerant, consult with a medical professional before starting any new product.
I am sensitive to artificial sweeteners. Do Biocare beverages contain artificial sweeteners?
Biocare contains natural sweeteners including monk fruit extract, stevia leaf extract, and licorice root extract. These are generally well-tolerated sweeteners. If you are concerned with the use of these sweeteners, please consult a medical professional before including them in your diet.
Are Biocare beverages keto-friendly?
One serving of Biocare beverage includes 11-13 grams of total carbohydrates, and six (6) grams of dietary fiber, thus providing only seven (7) grams net carbs. This fits nicely into most ketogenic meal plans. Please refer to a registered dietitian or medical professional for an individualized plan that includes the total grams of carbohydrates recommended per day to remain in ketosis.
Can I continue to use Biocare beverages if I stop taking weight loss medications?
Biocare is safe to consume even without taking a weight loss medication. The macronutrient profile would fit nicely into a low carbohydrate meal plan for weight loss as supplemental protein.
What makes Biocare beverages different from other protein beverages I can get at the grocery store?
Biocare includes specialized ingredients to help alleviate some of the common gastrointestinal side effects from taking weight loss medication. Additionally, two servings per day provide 100 percent of the daily value of essential vitamins and minerals. Biocare is also a good source of Omega-3 fatty acids.
Is it safe for the rest of my family to drink Biocare beverages?
These protein supplements are safe for general consumption. However, it is advisable to consult with a medical professional before taking these supplements, as they are specifically formulated for certain uses. For children under the age of 18, please consult with a pediatrician before incorporating these products into their diet.
My Biocare beverage is past the best by date. Can I still drink it?
It is best to consume the beverage before the listed date. While there is not a food safety risk for dry powdered blends such as Biocare, there may be a noticeable decline in flavor.
Are there immediate and long-term benefits from the ingredients in Biocare to address GLP-1 side effects?
There are immediate and long-term benefits from the ingredients in Biocare to address GLP-1 side effects. First, the small six (6) ounce serving size of the reconstituted beverage has high nutritional content, including fiber and digestive enzymes. These play a vital role in alleviating gastric discomfort and optimize nutrient absorption on a daily basis. Additionally, the probiotic supports healthy gut function, and the bioactive compounds were selected for their ability to help reduce gastric distress. These benefits are cumulative, leading to a noticeable decline in discomfort over the first two weeks.* Individual results may vary.
I am on thyroid medication. Can I use Biocare?
Please consult with your medical provider or a registered dietician before using Biocare while on thyroid medication or have limited or impaired kidney function.
Can Biocare be used as a replacement for a protein drink for bariatric patients?
Biocare can serve as a protein supplement for bariatric patients who have a medical recommendation to consume whey protein, low-fat, and low-sugar supplements with no restrictions regarding intake of probiotics, prebiotic fiber, digestive enzymes, or other Biocare ingredients. If you are unsure, it is best to consult your medical provider.
Can you mix Biocare with almond milk?
For best results, we recommend preparing Biocare with water, as directed on the product packaging. While Biocare may be mixed with other liquids, it is important to note that doing so may alter the taste, texture, and digestibility of the beverage. Depending on the liquid’s temperature and acidity, it may also impact the effectiveness of some specialty ingredients used. If you choose to prepare Biocare using an alternative liquid, consider that some liquids may benefit from the use of a blender for best consistency.
Can I use Biocare if I suffer from constipation?
Biocare beverages include a specialized blend of digestive enzymes, licorice root extract and a unique form of zinc, along with prebiotic fiber and probiotics to help alleviate common gastrointestinal side effects associated with taking weight loss medications, including constipation.*
Do I use this drink as a meal replacement in mornings or with meals?
How and when you drink your beverage is based on your preferences and food tolerance. Some people may find that consuming a six (6) ounce serving of Biocare is the perfect amount to be comfortable. Others may want to consume it with some solid food so they don’t feel too full too quickly. It is best to experiment with what feels best for you. If you feel uncomfortably full, plan to take the beverage during times when you have not consumed any protein for more than two-to-three hours.
How often should Biocare be taken? Is it to be used consistently — or as needed if you have symptoms?
There are immediate and long-term benefits from the ingredients in Biocare to address GLP-1 side effects. First, the small six (6) ounce serving size of the reconstituted beverage has high nutritional content, including fiber and digestive enzymes. These play a vital role in alleviating gastric discomfort and optimize nutrient absorption on a daily basis. Additionally, the probiotic supports healthy gut function, and the bioactive compounds were selected for their ability to help reduce gastric distress. These benefits are cumulative, leading to a noticeable decline in discomfort over the first two weeks. For best results, two (2) servings per day are recommended.* Individual results may vary.

Please consult with your physician or healthcare provider before using Biocare while pregnant or nursing.
If you are unsure, it is best to consult your medical provider.
Does Biocare provide appetite suppression?
Biocare is designed to support nutritional needs while taking appetite-suppressing GLP-1 medications. While Biocare does not contain functional ingredients specific to appetite suppression, it is formulated to promote satiety with 20g of high-quality protein and 6g of dietary fiber per serving.
Where is Biocare made?
Biocare is made in the USA.
How does Biocare help preserve muscle?
Biocare helps preserve muscle during weight loss or reduced calorie intake while using GLP-1 medications with its special blend of whey protein concentrate and isolate. These proteins are more easily digested and absorbed than other sources, allowing for efficient delivery of amino acids crucial for protecting lean muscle mass. This is especially beneficial with GLP-1 medications, which slow digestion, making whey protein an excellent choice for improved absorption. Biocare also includes added leucine, a key amino acid that stimulates muscle protein synthesis, aiding in muscle tissue repair and growth.
Is Biocare FDA approved?
Biocare is manufactured in a facility that is registered and inspected by the FDA and is labeled in compliance with FDA regulations for dietary supplements. While the FDA does not "approve" dietary supplements in the same manner as drugs, Biocare meets FDA standards for safety, quality, and efficacy.
Can you still take a pre/probiotic pill while drinking Biocare?
Two daily servings of Biocare provide 12g of prebiotic fiber and 1 Billion CFUs of the probiotic Bacillus coagulans MTCC 5856, supporting your daily gut health regimen. For personalized recommendations on additional pre and probiotics, please consult your medical provider or dietitian.
Does Biocare help with gastroparesis?
GLP-1 medications are known to delay gastric emptying as part of their mechanism of action. This slower movement of food from the stomach to the small intestine helps control blood sugar levels and promotes satiety. However, it can also lead to side effects like nausea, vomiting, and bloating. While Biocare is not specifically designed to treat gastroparesis, its formulation aims to address some of the nutritional challenges and gastrointestinal side effects that individuals with gastroparesis may face, especially when using GLP-1 medications.* Please consult with your physician or healthcare provider before using Biocare if you have been diagnosed with gastroparesis.
I feel a little nauseous after drinking Biocare. Why?
Food tolerances for individuals on GLP-1 medications will vary. If you feel uncomfortably full or nauseous after consuming a full serving of Biocare, we recommend reducing the portion size to half a serving, consuming the two recommended daily servings over four eating occasions. However, it is essential to consult with your healthcare provider for personalized advice to ensure you meet your daily protein and dietary requirements. Biocare beverages are intended to be consumed within 15 to 20 minutes of mixing. For a half serving, mix half the powder from a packet with 3 oz of water. Seal the remaining powder in a zip-lock or other airtight bag to preserve freshness and flavor until your next serving.
Is Biocare “plant-based?”

When consuming the recommended two servings of Biocare per day, this amounts to less than 15% of the DV. However, it’s important to consult with your healthcare provider for personalized advice on your overall sodium intake and to ensure you’re meeting your daily protein and other dietary requirements. For specific sodium content per flavor, please refer to the supplement facts panels available on product listings at Biocare.com and printed on product packaging.
Can I prepare the Biocare beverage in advance and drink it later?
Biocare beverages are designed to be consumed shortly after preparation (within 15-20 minutes) for optimal effectiveness and freshness. It is not recommended to prepare them early in the day for later consumption.
Biocare Snacks
Do Biocare snacks (i.e. Bars, Pretzels, Double Bites) work the same way as the Biocare beverages?
Biocare high protein snacks, including Bars, Pretzel Twists, and Cheddar Cheese Double Bites, are designed to complement the Biocare beverages by providing additional protein to help preserve lean muscle mass. The Bars (Chocolate Caramel and Cinnamon Crisp) also contain 19 essential vitamins and minerals and prebiotic fiber to support immune and digestive health. However, while Biocare high protein snacks can be enjoyed on their own, they do not contain the specialized ingredients found in the beverages that help reduce GLP-1 side effects or provide the complete nutritional profile needed for people taking GLP-1 medications.
Ingredients
Are your products gluten free?
There are no gluten-containing ingredients in the Biocare beverages and our products are manufactured under a Safe Quality Foods Allergen Control Protocol which is validated regularly to assure there is no allergen cross-contamination of any kind.
What is the sugar source that is used in Biocare?
Biocare beverages are naturally sweetened using Monk Fruit Extract and Stevia Extract (Reb M), the flavors of which are complemented using a small amount of sugar (sucralose/table sugar content is <2 grams per serving).
Can you use the Chocolate flavor to heat up and drink as hot chocolate?
Exposure to heat can cause changes to occur in some of the specialized ingredients used in Biocare products, resulting in alterations to the overall texture and flavor. Additionally, higher temperatures can deactivate the beneficial digestive enzymes present. If you choose to warm the product, do so very gradually and avoid adding boiling water.
Does Biocare have to be mixed with water?
Biocare has specialized ingredients not found in other protein shakes, including digestive enzymes. Preparing Biocare with liquids other than water may impact the effectiveness of these ingredients and/or the texture of the shake, depending on the temperature and acidity of the liquid. If you choose to prepare Biocare with cold brew coffee, we suggest using a blender for the best consistency.
Will the niacin in Biocare interfere with my GLP-1?
High doses of niacin, typically in the range of 500 mg to 2,000 mg per day, have been shown to increase blood glucose levels and potentially interfere with GLP-1 medications. However, Biocare contains 100% of the daily recommended value of niacin (16 mg) per two daily suggested servings. This level of niacin does not reduce the effectiveness of GLP-1 RA medications and supports various bodily functions such as energy metabolism, healthy lipid metabolism, digestive health, and antioxidant support. It is important for individuals to consult with their medical care provider for personalized recommendations on their overall dietary intake to ensure all essential daily nutritional needs are met.
What ingredients in Biocare assist with nausea relief?
The bioactive ingredients in Biocare that help support stomach calming include Glycyrrhiza glabra (Licorice) Root Extract and Zinc L-Carnosine, both of which ease digestive irritations that can result in nausea. Additionally, in some cases, the digestive enzyme blend may also help if the nausea is caused by undigested food in the stomach.*
Is Leucine an appetite suppressant?
Leucine is an essential amino acid that is important for protein synthesis, muscle repair, and energy production in the body. While it is not typically regarded as an “appetite suppressant” in the traditional sense, it does play a role in promoting feelings of fullness and satiety when combined with the high-quality whey proteins and dietary fiber found in Biocare.
Does Biocare contain sugar alcohols?
There are no sugar alcohols in Biocare Dietary Beverages. Biocare beverages are naturally sweetened using Monk Fruit Extract and Stevia Extract (Reb M), the flavors of which are complemented using a small amount of granulated fruit sugar (2g/serving).
Why do you add sugar and is it white processed sugar?
Biocare contains a small amount of granulated fruit sugar (2g per serving) to complement the natural sweeteners, monk fruit and stevia extracts, used. While monk fruit and stevia provide sweetness without the calories, a small amount of sugar can help balance their taste, making the overall flavor of the product more enjoyable. The Dietary Guidelines for Americans suggest that a limited amount of added sugars can be included as part of an overall healthy diet; the minimal amount used in each serving of Biocare contributes just 4% of the recommended daily value of added sugars for a 2,000 calorie diet.
Does Biocare contain arginine?
The amino acid arginine is not added to Biocare in isolated form, as an ingredient. However, it is naturally occurring in dietary protein, including the whey proteins used in Biocare. The amount of arginine present ranges between 425mg and 500mg per serving, depending on the specific balance of ingredients, which varies by flavor.
Why does Biocare use the cyanocobalamin form of B12?
Biocare is formulated with high-quality, highly-bioavailable forms of essential vitamins and minerals to address deficits associated with reduced caloric intake and slowed gastric emptying. While some consumers may prefer methylated forms like methylcobalamin (B12) and methylfolate, the cyanocobalamin form of B12 used in our products is more stable than its methylated counterpart and readily converted to the active methylcobalamin form in the body, making it comparably effective. Similarly, the folic acid (folate) used is widely recognized as a bioavailable source that converts to the active methylfolate form in the body. Rest assured, these source ingredients were carefully chosen based on scientific evidence, bioavailability, and stability to ensure maximum benefit and safety for our customers.
Does the niacin in Biocare react with my medication?
Regarding the California Proposition 65 warning, what ingredient (s) does the warning apply to?
Biocare products are formulated without the direct addition of any compounds listed in California’s Proposition 65. The warning applies due to the potential for trace amounts of naturally occurring elemental heavy metals, such as lead, which can be found in all agricultural products, including those used in Biocare products. The Proposition 65 warning is specifically required by the state of California to inform its residents of the presence of listed chemicals, even in trace amounts that are significantly lower than the federal limits.
Does Biocare contain maltodextrin?
Biocare contains prebiotic Resistant Maltodextrin, a type of dietary fiber that isn't digested in the stomach or small intestine. Instead, it passes into the digestive system, where it serves as food for beneficial gut bacteria, supporting a healthy digestive system. Resistant Maltodextrin is included in Biocare primarily as a source of dietary fiber, which can aid in digestion and help relieve some of the side effects of GLP-1 medication use. Biocare also contains low levels of standard maltodextrin, incorporated as sub-components of other ingredients such as color and flavoring additives. While we recognize that some individuals have concerns about maltodextrin, it is considered safe by the FDA and is widely used in the production of foods and beverages. If you have specific health concerns or conditions, we always recommend consulting with your healthcare provider to ensure that Biocare is suitable for your dietary needs.
What types of probiotics are used in Biocare?
Each serving of Biocare contains 500 million CFUs of Bacillus coagulans MTCC 5856, a spore-forming, digestively stable probiotic strain to help support digestive and gut health.
Does the Biocare Strawberries & Cream beverage contain real strawberries?
Yes, the Strawberries & Cream beverage contains real strawberry powder and natural flavors derived from strawberries. If you are allergic to strawberries, we recommend choosing one of our other flavor varieties. Please consult your healthcare provider for further advice.
Is Biocare an amino acid protein-based beverage or is it dairy protein?
Biocare dietary beverages are dairy-based protein shakes, containing a specialized blend of whey protein concentrate and whey protein isolate, which are derived from milk. Whey proteins are quickly and easily digested and absorbed compared to other protein sources, ensuring the delivery of amino acids needed to protect lean muscle mass. The efficient absorption of whey protein makes it an excellent option for enhancing protein intake, especially since GLP-1 medications can slow the rate of digestion. Additionally, the essential amino acid Leucine is added in its free form to help initiate protein synthesis and aid in muscle preservation, maintaining muscle integrity during sustained weight reduction. While the shakes include added leucine to boost their amino acid profile, the primary protein source remains dairy-based.
I have a history of nut and shellfish/fish anaphylaxis — a severe allergic reaction. Is it safe for me to consume your product?
Biocare dietary beverages do not contain any nut, shellfish, or fish ingredients or derivatives. They are manufactured in a facility that is free of shellfish and fish. While our facility does process other products containing almond ingredients, we have a strict Safe Quality Foods (SQF) Allergen Control Protocol in place. This protocol is regularly validated to ensure there is no allergen cross-contamination. However, we recommend that individuals with severe allergies consult their healthcare provider before introducing any new food or beverage into their diet.
GLP-1 Medications
Do you need to have diabetes to take a GLP-1 medication?
While these medications were originally developed for blood glucose management and prescribed for individuals with diabetes, GLP-1 medications are not exclusively used for diabetes, and some are now also approved by prescription for weight loss. The top drug brands used as weekly injections for diabetes include Ozempic®, Victoza®, Mounjaro®, Trulicity® and Byetta® or Rybelsus® which is a daily tablet. The GLP-1 medications approved by the FDA for weight loss include Wegovy®, Saxenda® and Zepbound®. Often, those who are prescribed a GLP-1 medication for weight loss take higher dosages than used what is generally prescribed for diabetes management.
What are the typical results on GLP-1 medications for weight loss?
Weight loss results vary depending on the medication prescribed, the dosage, and your medical history. Research is showing that as an appetite suppressant medication, patients can lose as much as 20 percent of their body weight. However, when deciding to start a GLP-1 medication, it is important to discuss the benefits and risks with a medical care provider.
Are there generic options for GLP-1 medications?
Currently there are no FDA approved generic versions for GLP-1 drugs. FDA-approved, branded medications include the active ingredient of semaglutide. Currently, the patent for these medications is active until December 5, 2031. As long as the patent is active, a generic version will not be made available. The high demand of these drugs has led to an ongoing shortage since 2022, landing GLP-1 drugs on the FDA Drug Shortage List. Depending on the reason for prescribing the GLP-1 drug, there are alternatives that may be used instead of the branded medication, but it is always best to consult with a physician before exploring these alternatives. Compounding pharmacies have identified the demand of these drugs and the need to make alternative routes for acquiring these medications for patients. These alternative methods of obtaining semaglutide medications may enable patients to get the medications they need even when branded medications are in short supply. You should always consult a physician before exploring compounded medications.
What are GLP-1 medications and how do they work?
GLP-1 agonists drugs like Ozpemic®, Trulicity®, Mounjaro® and Zepbound® mimic the action of the GLP-1, which is a hormone that targets areas of the brain involved in regulating appetite and food intake. GLP-1 is naturally produced in the body for a short time in response to eating food. The medication extends this effect and promotes an increase in insulin secretion, and a reduction of glucagon production. GLP-1 drugs slow gastric emptying and promote a feeling of fullness. Patients typically experience altered food preferences and reduced interest in food which help many individuals lose weight.
Will I gain weight if I stop taking a GLP-1 medication?
Weight regain is common when stopping GLP-1 medications. Weight loss can be sustained if intentional changes in lifestyle are made, such as improving eating behaviors and physical activity. GLP-1 medications work by slowing digestion and promoting appetite suppression. Without the influence of the medication, lifestyle modifications in eating behaviors and physical activity are essential to support sustained weight loss. Working with a medical professional or a registered dietitian is important for sustaining weight loss after ceasing use of GLP-1 medication.
What are the most common side effects of GLP-1 medications?
The physiological changes that aid in slowing digestion and altering appetite can also lead to digestive distress in the form of bloating, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and abdominal pain. Some individuals may also experience headache, fatigue, dizziness, belching, gas, and heartburn. By changing eating behaviors, like the type of food and timing of eating, most individuals can experience fewer gastrointestinal side effects. The response to taking these drugs will vary between individuals and some patients may not be bothered by side effects.
How long can someone stay on GLP-1 medications?
These drugs were first used for the treatment of diabetes, a chronic condition, therefore they are indicted for long-term use. If the drug is stopped, the benefits of blood glucose control or appetite suppression will stop. As a result, individuals typically experience weight regain unless they have made other significant lifestyle changes. Although prescription of this medication is indicated for long-term use, some people choose to go off of the drug after sustaining weight loss. Weight regain is very common. Preventing this weight regain can be achieved by working with medical professionals and other healthcare providers to create sustainable diet and physical activity lifestyle changes.
I seem to get flu like symptoms on GLP-1 medication. Will Biocare help?
Biocare beverages were specifically designed to help relieve some of the common symptoms experienced when taking GLP-1 medications, including nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, and reduced energy (fatigue). Both the Chocolate and Mixed Fruit Beverages provide the same specialty ingredients and key nutrients per serving, including digestive enzymes, anti-nausea/anti-bloating bioactive ingredients, and an excellent source of Iron and Vitamin B12, making them equally beneficial options to help you feel your best.
I am taking Rybelsus, can I still drink Biocare?
Biocare is formulated to support individuals using GLP-1 medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, and Zepbound for weight loss. Although not specifically mentioned on our website, it can also help manage the side effects and nutritional needs related to Rybelsus, which contains semaglutide, the same active ingredient as Ozempic and Wegovy. Biocare contains a specialized blend of digestive enzymes, licorice root extract and a unique form of zinc to help relieve digestive discomfort along with a combination of pre and probiotics to support gut health. While Biocare was not specifically designed for Metformin use, these ingredients may help alleviate some common gastrointestinal side effects shared by Metformin and GLP-1 medications. If you are unsure, it is best to consult your medical provider.
