The Hume Pod is a body composition scale. It reads muscle mass, body fat, and body water using multi-frequency bioelectrical impedance, with sensors in both the platform and the handle so the scan covers your torso and arms and not only your legs. A standard scale tells you the number went down. It cannot tell you what you lost. That distinction matters during and after therapy, when holding on to lean muscle is the whole reason we talk about protein the way we do.
The Hume Band 2.0 is a screenless wristband that tracks sleep stages, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, skin temperature, and recovery, on roughly a two week battery. When appetite drops, total intake drops with it, and sleep and recovery are usually where that shows up before anything else does. The Band is the early signal that you are running on too little.
Together they work on different clocks. The Pod is a weekly trend you read slowly. The Band is a daily signal you glance at. Weigh in at the same time of day under the same conditions, and read the Pod over weeks rather than any single morning. That is how the data becomes useful instead of stressful.
